WHY SUCCESS MEALS FOR KIDS

A new report published in the New England Journal of Medicine stated that for the first time in two centuries America's children will have a shorter life span (by 5 or more years) than their parents, their parents, parents, and the generations that came before them. This comes as a big surprise when you consider that throughout the 20th century we saw such great advances in medicine and astounding breakthroughs in science and technology that the average life expectancy consistently increased by more than 25 years. So what type of disease, illness or condition could bewilder the medical society by not only stalling the increase of the aging process but actually cause it to regress?

It's an ailment that is spreading at endemic proportions, infiltrating every walk of life regardless of age, race, gender or economic status -American's most precious commodity being no exception. Today, 1 in 5 children have fallen victim to this malady and it is estimated that by 2020 the ratio will be 1 of every 2. Here's the kicker. Of all the diseases that affect the human race, it is the most preventable. What is this health catastrophe sweeping through the United States? Obesity.

Officially considered an epidemic the rates of obesity and overweight have doubled in children and tripled in adolescents over the past two decades. Nine million kids are now deemed at risk of developing obesity-related chronic diseases like type II diabetes, high blood pressure, and high cholesterol -all of which were considered "adult-only" diseases just 10-years ago. Being overweight isn't just detrimental to ones physical health, childhood obesity predisposes to a range of psychological problems as well. Overweight children are prone to developing introverted characteristics and low self-esteem stemming from being teased, bullied, or rejected by peers. This is often followed with depression, which segues into unhealthy eating habits, which only compounds the problem and fuels the movement of this vicious cycle.

Parents need to be responsible for what and how their kids eat, because how your children eat today, sets the stage for their tomorrow. Without proper nutrition during these "opportunity" years, your children will suffer harmful effects on their permanent growth and development as well as irreversible effects to their health and quality of life in later years. They will either have a strong, healthy and vibrant childhood and adult life, resulting from proper nutritional habits or they'll suffer the eroding effects of a nutrient deficient body resulting in a vulnerable immune system and subsequent illness and disease, such as, osteoporosis, obesity, hyperlipedemia, cardiovascular disease, cancer, and final adult height.

It's no secret that hectic lifestyles, long hours at the office and the growth of two-income families have changed the way we eat. No longer do families sit down for traditional meals, rather, meals have become an afterthought. We eat whatever's accessible, when we're hungry and when we can spare a few extra minutes. And, while we understand the importance of proper nutrition, we just don't have any time to invest in acquiring and preparing the types of meals our families need each and every day. That's where we can help. Success Meals™ For Kids takes the guesswork out of the nutrition equation by preparing "tailor-made" meals, designed specifically for you and your objectives, and delivering them right to your doorstep each morning by 6:00am. And now Success Meals is introducing the "all new" Success Meals program. A 12-week program designed specifically for kids, focusing on the nutritional requirements needed at this time of incessant growth and development and the preferential types of meals favored by today's youth. Consequently, your children will still have all the meals they love, without the saturated fats, sodium and sugars i.e. those substrates attributing to today's obesity epidemic.
